Ghost and Pumpkins and Spiders, Oh My!

My kids are so excited for Halloween and have been excitedly deciding their Halloween Costumes for this year.  Because of their excitement for Halloween I sat down one evening and made some new Halloween bows for them.  Especially since they have been wearing their hair down more and just want a small clip to put in their hair.

I saw a really cute spider Bow on Pinterest and made my own version.  All 3 of my girls love this one.

My youngest really loves the Spider and had fun modeling it for me.

I found this really cute Pumkin Korker on Pinterest also and it had a link to a Tutorial, so I cooked some ribbon one afternoon and wallah.

Lastly, I made this really cute Ghost Clippie.  I had seen several on Pinterest and so I knew my 2 older girls would love wearing it to pull just their bangs back.

Bunny Bows

A little late, but I had to share my girls' fun bows for Easter.  My girls already had some Easter bows, I had made several years ago and I thought we could use a fresh set.

I was looking on Pinterest one day and came across a bow with a bunny face on top.  I loved the bow immediately and knew that I could make one, using the ribbon I already had on hand.  I almost had everything to make the bow, but needed some fun spring colors for the bow and spikes.  My daughters and I headed to Hobby Lobby one afternoon and we picked out some ribbon.  That evening I set out to make the bows.  The bows made up really quick and the end result was 3 very cute Bunny Bows.  My girls immediately loved them and wore them everyday until Easter (being that I only made them 4 days before Easter).

My youngest daughter has just started to get enough hair to put a single pony on the top of her head, so I felt that she needed something smaller.  I found a cute tutorial for a bunny clip and made it.  My little girl loved it and thought it was so much fun to wear it.  Now, to make her some more fun clippies.

St. Patrick's Day Bows and Headbands

With St. Patricks Day just around the corner.  I decided to make some new bows and headbands for my girls.  I have even made a few extra's for family and friends who have requested them.

The inspiration for this Clippie came from Pinterest:  The technique for the hearts on this bow is the same that I used for the Butterfly Love Bug Clippie.

I also made a small 3" Bow for my little one, who is just barely starting to get some hair.

Valentine Clippies and Headband

I was perusing Pinterest one evening when I came across a really cute Butterfly Love Bug Clippie that was available on Etsy.  Being that it was getting close to Valentines and since my girls had already gotten out their Valentine Bows and had been wearing them for a couple of weeks, I decided they needed something fresh.  Since my oldest likes wearing her hair down most days, I thought some cute clippies would be perfect to hold her long bangs back.  I searched Pinterest to see if their were any Tutorials for making the ribbon hearts and to my luck I was able to find some tutorials on the Love Bug Clippies themselves.  I was able to find two Tutorials and set to work making them.
My first attempt didn't turn out so great, but I learned my errors.  I then made 2 of them.  One with a pink body and one with red.  They were so much fun to make.  I had most of the supplies already on hand, and only needed to purchase the sparkly pom poms and the floral stems for the antenna's.  My girls loved their new clips and wore them past Valentines Day.

I also made a cute Shabby Heart Headband for my Baby Girl.

So much fun.  I am now thinking of making some spring colored ones.
