Smocked Dress

My Brother has been bugging me for a while to make his daughter a dress, so for his daughter's Birthday I made her a smocked Dress with a matching bow. She won't be able to wear it until next year, but I had the fabric and my Sister-in-law had mentioned how she saw one of the smocked dresses on display at Walmart and how cute it was. Hope they liked it.

Card Making

Every two months, I attend a card group in which everyone makes cards and then exchanges them with everyone else. This month I made 3 sets (I had 2 months of make up to do, as I didn't get my cards sent in time for the past 2 meetings), so this is what I came up with. As usual they never end of being what I envisioned, but I think they turned out pretty good.

The Making of a Card

I have recently started making my own cards and find it quiet enjoyable. Yet many times, the idea I start out with doesn't always turn out right. Here is the making of one of my recent cards.

It all starts with the Selection of the Paper I want to use and I start to Layout how I think the Card should look:

The Hair Bow Blog

I have created this blog for all my family and friends that would like to see the bows that I have made and are willing to make for them. My sweat Husband has told me for several years to make my own bows instead of buying them. A few months ago I had the opportunity to attend an Enrichment activity in which someone was demonstrating how to make hair bows. Well this peaked my interest and I began to look at ribbon in a whole new light. I have bought several spools of ribbon and started researching all kinds of different techniches on making bows, so this is my blog of the bows I make. I am kind of an amateur right now, but hope to improve as I make more.
