I am so excited to share my latest creations. I few months ago my dear friend, Angie asked me if I would help her with her Daughter's dance costumes. She was in charge of the costumes for her daughter's class and needed help with the headbands and also for something to put on the leotards. Angie came over one afternoon with a bag of supplies and a creation she had been working on but then got stuck and called me for some help. I looked over the supplies she had and we set to work, in creating the perfect Dance Fascinator. Angie was looking for the perfect band for the headbands, so I showed her a cute shop of supplies on Etsy and she was able to find the perfect elastic for the headbands. We took a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and picked up a couple more supplies and then it was time for Angie to go. I worked for the next couple of nights putting together a Fascinator. I sent a photo to Angie once the prototype for the headband and Brooch were complete and she loved them. A few weeks later Angie came over once again with the elastic and we set to work prepping all the supplies for the headbands. I had so much fun visiting with my dear friend as we worked together. As her time was becoming limited, I finished the fascinators and brooches on my own with the help of my oldest daughter who would sit with me and work on her own projects and would be my model, so I could make sure that each fascinator sat perfectly on the head once complete. Once they were complete, I felt a sadness as I had enjoyed making them. Angie came over once again to visit and pick up the Fascinators and Brooches. I am hoping we can get together for more fun crafting in the future.
Here is the loot of completed Dance Fascinators.

Doesn't my daughter make the cutest model:
These Brooches were so fun to make and I made them so they pinned onto the leotards. This way the leotards could still be used for other costumes. The bin can also be easily removed after the girls' performance and replace with a alligator clip, to make a fabulous bow. I think my girls are going to get a couple of bows like this soon.
